By leveraging data from shared tools, Riverin helps managers run their teams more effectively.
I was the lead product designer and also developed the front end of the web and mobile apps in React.
I spent two years on the Product Design team at littleBits.
I was UX lead for many cross functional squads, and drove major iterations of the product including improvements to the invention build instructions, and a skinnable system of modular controls for inventions.
I led the development of a Design System for software at littleBits. We used Figma to create atomic components that matched components of a ReactNative app.
The UI Framework was skinnable and enabled us to launch multiple distinct apps using just one codebase.
From its inception at the Disney Accelerator, through development with Lucasfilm, I was a key member of the team that created the Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit.
The Droid Inventor Kit won Creative Toy of the Year, and earned rave reviews from everyone from Techcrunch to Tested.
In 2009 I founded Snapr and bootstrapped the product from a location based photo app into a white label platform with over five million users.
I was the product designer for Snapr, and developed the architecture for a versatile cross platform photo filter format, and a reusable HTML 5 app framework.
Snapr was white labelled for a number of global brands, including PINK Nation by Victoria's Secret.
I was project lead for the development of ‘PINK Your Pics’. I managed a team of developers, and interfaced with the client and their agency.
I'm based between Brooklyn & Dunedin (New Zealand!) and ♥ remote gigs.
